Dear students and the Slow Clay community,
we have made the difficult decision to temporarily cease face-to-face classes and effectively close our studio to visitors due to the Covid-19 spread. We do not wish to wait for the government to demand it and given we are at the end of a term and another term does not start until the end of April we feel it’s best to close for Term 2. Slow Clay Centre has always put community above money and this is another test to our commitment.
We are creating some exciting new ways to engage with ceramics education so stay tuned by signing up to our newsletter and we aim to resume teaching face to face in Term 3. Term 3 dates are 27 July – 14 September. By then we hope this madness will be over.
We are very aware that many people in our community will experience hardship, whether health or financial, and we wish to lend our support and love at the difficult time. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions as we are not closing! We will still be working in the background and our techies will be firing all the student’s pieces over the next few weeks.
Keep well and kindest wishes,
Jane Sawyer, Director, Slow Clay Centre
