Jane Frances Reilly
I reach into myself, and inevitably pull things out that make sense to me. I make my own language of things. My subject is abstract- from memories of things that have no words, just fleeting glimpses I aim to capture in my work. The world is full of products/stuff that makes no sense to me- it floods my senses. I make my own sense of things through interpreting the world’s shadows, what lies behind, what lies in the mark making we can all do. I find peace when I create; my hands, heart and intuition take over. The studio is my meditation space, my place where the worlds and my worries of the outside world are no longer. Making calms me.
