Josh has been involved in the exploration of clay for over twenty years. Upon completing his BFA at the Victorian College of the Arts he focused on building a studio, predominantly making thrown work and researching stoneware reduction firings. A passionate woodfirer, he worked with many internationally renowned potters to further develop these skills, eventually building his own kiln. Sculpture is a major component of his practice and he believes that the two fields enrich one another in regard to understanding form, artistic vocabulary and aesthetic judgement.
Josh teaches in the Intermediate-Advanced wheel course program.
